Resisting Racism
The Resisting Racism Workshop is a 2 Day intensive designed to guide community organizers - both people of color and white allies - through a process of exploring the history of race, the current political environment around race and racism, and strategies for organizing resistance to the systems and institutions that perpetuate this plague in our communities. Day 1 explores the history of race and the construction of whiteness in America, as well as the experience of power through internalized oppression, privilege, and social rank. Day 2 lays out an action framework for organizing to dismantle racism, looking at our collective histories of resistance for lessons in utilizing power analysis, storytelling, and tactical resistance.
